I had a great time this past weekend at Bozofest. We ate well, camped, swam, and played a bunch of frisbee in beautiful weather. Montana is pretty spectacular (I’d never been, even on my road trip), even if it’s not particularly close.

Unfortunately, a nagging ankle injury I’d been hoping would disappear only got worse this weekend, and I think I need to take some time off from ultimate. Short of going to the gym (a fate worse than death), I’m left with biking as exercise. Since my current bike is 35 years old and only has one gear, I’m thinking about upgrading to one of these.

Sadly, I didn’t make the frisbee team. It is nice to know, though – six weeks of tryouts is a tad excessive. Plus, it means more free time to work on the robot arm, the condo (the windows need some attention, and I’m thinking about painting the kitchen) and other projects.

If you have a chance, check out Lenin: [Absurdly long subtitle omitted] at the CHAC this month – it’s another excellent show from Annex.

I’m headed down to the Maker Faire this weekend for work – it’s a rough job, but someone’s got to do it. (Maybe by next year’s the robot arm will be finished and on display?) And next weekend I’m off to Montana for Bozofest. The summer travel craziness has begun!

I’m still in the running in the Shazam Returns tryouts. They’re tons of fun, but really take a lot of both mental and physical energy, so I haven’t been doing that much else besides. I did bake some excellent biscotti last week (honey and pistachio), and snuck in a viewing of Volver over the weekend (highly recommended).
