Current album: images:Nature:AGM 8 April 2005
I went for a walk around Arlington Great Meadows and took the D70 with the Nikon 70-300mm lens. Even with its ED glass, there was a lot of chromatic abberation at the long end (the useful one).

The woodpeckers at AGM were cute, but they're tough to photograph as they flit around so quickly.

I'll have to go back some evening - the light wasn't so great at 3 in the afternoon - 'cause it's a really nice place.

There was a male and female chasing each other around the cattails. This is the male.

Amazingly, I caught this guy (the male) just as he took off.

Even more amazing - I caught the female just as _she_ took off. The male doesn't seem to happy about that.
