Yesterday, I moved in to my new place! Well, I should qualify: Jed & Renee and Jared & Chika, all of whom have earned a spot in my hall of fame for their heroic moving efforts, helped me move in yesterday. Pictures coming soon.

It’s official – I now own a condo! The place is in great shape, but it does need some painting, which I’m hoping to get done in time to move this coming weekend. My coworkers have raved about low VOC paints (they don’t smell bad at all) from Best Paint – report coming soon.

Friday night, I saw some great indy theater – The Secret Ruths of Island House. Not only was it a well-written show, it was down in the International District, so dinner consisted of dumplings and bubble tea. I think there are a couple food groups in there somehwere: fried, chewy and sweet. Yep, got it covered.

Went to the Mariners/Red Sox game on Sunday with Scott.

DZ

Great game, although the Red Sox managed to lose in the 9th after fighting so hard to come back. They also allowed an in-the-park home run – how embarrassing.

Finally, pictures! First, the East Coast Trip (Sharon, Boston, Portland). Then, the Fourth of July. Yeah, trying out Flickr again – easier to upload and rename pics.

Condo purchase is as close to finalized as it can be without having actually closed on the place – that happens Thursday. Let the painting & moving begin!

Haven’t had a chance yet to put up pics from the trip, or from the fireworks last week, but here’s a teaser:

Lastly, proof that there is a 14,400 foot mountain very close to Seattle:

Awful busy these days, but mostly with fun stuff. Hoping to post pictures soon from my East Coast trip as well as 4th of July fireworks, as well as some condo info and photos. Maybe this weekend?

I got back last night from a week of vacation on the East Coast, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Highlights included:

  • a trip to The Village Oven, a great pizza place in West Stockbridge (no website and no reviews, hmm)
  • lots of ice cream
  • watching plenty of World Cup
  • seeing a bunch of friends and family
  • Caleb & Becky’s wedding

Pictures soon.
