Finally got a chance to post pictures from my California trip – check ’em out here.
I saw Al Gore on Tuesday in Seattle, and was pleasantly surprised. On the subject of the environment, he’s enthusiastic, well-informed and overall an extremely effective speaker with an impressive set of data to support his points. If you haven’t already, check out Climate Crisis for all sorts of info on how to reduce the bad things you do to the world and how to offset the badness you can’t avoid.
I’m back from California, and quite enjoying the fall weather (and foliage) in Seattle. More to come, and pictures soon, too.
I’m halfway through my California vacation, and enjoying it thoroughly. Last week was largely spent visiting friends and eating my way around the Bay Area, and I was in Yosemite for the weekend. Cold, but breathtaking:

I posted an update on the robot arm page – got the motors working with the new processor – at a very appropriate time. I’m on vacation now (woohoo!) in California, visiting my old roommate Laura, who graciously drove me down to Northeastern University four years ago (almost to the day) to pick it up out of the trash.
One of Anna’s hand-made books was accepted to a show at the Honan-Allston branch of the BPL – it’ll be there through the 30th of October, when they take it down so all the hand-made books can go home and make their Halloween costumes.
Had fun this weekend – saw Jet Li’s Fearless with ninja-suit-wearing coworkers Friday night, then went rafting with other (non-ninja-suit-wearing) coworkers Saturday, and topped it off with a good bit of time spent outside on the beautiful fall day that was yesterday.
