A short list of things I’m happy about, in no particular order:

• friends in Seattle
• friends visiting from San Francisco and New York
• friends getting married to people they should be getting married to
• friends, in general
• fresh, local food — salmon, homegrown vegetables, happy lamb, blackberries from the side of the road
• playing ultimate, and still being pretty good at it in spite of not playing all summer
• surprisingly, a fair number of things at work
• upcoming visits with friends and family on the East Coast
• ice cream, in all its forms
• learning Chinese
