I really don’t like mayonnaise at all, although I can tolerate it on certain occassions in small amounts. However, I have spots reserved in hell for each and every restaurant that puts mayonnaise on sandwiches/burgers/etc. without listing it on the menu. And there are extra-special spots for those who list mayo only on some menu items but then include it on others.
I was having a crabby day to begin with, then Specialty’s put mayo on my BBQ chicken sandwich and it went downhill from there.
I’m really craving a salad for dinner tonight, and now I’m starting to wonder if that’s not somehow related to my crabbiness. Does iron deficiency cause irritability?

For the first time in over a month, I didn’t have frisbee games both days this weekend. The first round of Shazam tryouts ended on Saturday with a mini-tournament (cuts happen tomorrow), but our Sunday spring league game got postponed, so I had a free day. It’s too bad they can’t extend their run, ’cause Tuesday was excellent. It really was so much more than $10, down-the-street theater, but it was still $10 and down the street from my apartment. Go Annex!

I meant to post this last week…
Recently, I got to play with one of these and see one of these. Both fun toys that I likely won’t ever own, but both confirm that we’re still making technological progress.
Last Tuesday night I saw My Name is Rachel Corrie, which confirms we’re really not making much progress in other domains. It’s a well-done show – technically outstanding with great acting – and if you’re in Seattle before May 6, you should really go. It tells the story (in first person) of a young woman from Olympia who ends up as a human shield in Palestine, and ultimately is killed by an Israeli bulldozer. Without getting into the politics, I’ll say it does a fine job of opening up quite a few difficult subjects for discussion.
Unfortunately, I think there are a lot of folks out there who aren’t interested in letting those discussions happen, and that’s a shame. Very few people will take what they see in the theater at face value (it might be different if it were a TV show), and sparking interest and encouraging people to ask questions or learn more is rarely a bad idea.

I’m back from California, rested and tan. I had a lovely time visiting folks in the Bay Area on Friday, Sunday & Monday, and the frisbee tournament was good times as well. For the first time in a while, I left my laptop (and any other device that could be used to check email) at home for the trip, which made it much easier to relax and enjoy whatever I was doing. I still don’t think I’m gonna make the frisbee team, but I’ll up my chances from less than 1% to around 5%. Even so, it was great to play some more competitive disc.
