I got an amazing note from a fellow photographer recently regarding the Rolleiflex – check it out here. Amazing not just because it’s good info, but also because it was completely unsolicited – thanks Mike!

Though I can’t use it at home (still no Mac version), I’m a Picasa convert. I used it to export a slew of climbing pictures this afternoon at work – took no time at all! So much better than the iPhoto workflow. So when’s the Mac version coming out?

Speaking of climbing photos, they’re up. Check out the ones from yesterday’s trip to Leavenworth here, or the ones from the weekend before’s Vantage expedition here.

Unfortunately, this weekend, I broke my streak of 12 years being vomit-free. There was some kind of stomach bug going around work Friday, so Friday night and Saturday were not so pleasant for me.

But thankfully, Sunday was a great day. I took off pretty early for Leavenworth and did a fair bit of climbing (especially considering how little I slept or ate beforehand). Look for pictures soon.

In an effort to help my dad with a video project, I unearthed my video camera from the closet, only to find it reporting an error code when I put a tape in. I had a great time taking it apart down to the circuit boards, but was unable to fix the problem. Some googling revealed a much simpler answer: smack the side of the camera. Lo and behold, it worked! Dad – I’ll send you a DVD in a couple days.

Spent some time out on the Olympic Peninsula this weekend, first on the coast, then at the Sol Duc Hot Springs – not bad! Check out some pictures here.

I’ve been back to Vios a couple times now, and each time I feel compelled to get the galaktoboureko, an amazing dessert made from phyllo dough and buttery semolina pudding. I think it’s time to branch out, although it’s still my favorite new dessert, and Vios my favorite new restaurant.

Off to Virginia this afternoon for work. Last weekend’s Boston visit, today’s trip, and a trip to New York at the end of the month will make for 3 cross-country round-trip flights in a month. Too many for me!
